- Chagall, between War and Peace:
Exhibition devoted to the work of Marc Chagall and his relationship to the history of the 20th century. The work of the artist is inseparable from the political and social upheavals in Europe in the 20th century. Despite two world wars, a revolution and exile, the life of Marc Chagall is interspersed with periods of happiness. The paintings, engravings and drawings exhibited (from public and private collections) bear witness to the personal experiences of this singular artist, whose artistic style was totally different to the artistic trends of the 20th century, which favoured a narrative style. The exhibition, which features 80 works, is laid out chronologically. From 21st February 2013 to 21st July 2013. Luxembourg Museum (6ème). No closing day.
